C-Murder's lawyer banned from carrying pens into jail meetings

Louisiana officials have banned C-Murder's lawyer Ron Rakosky from carrying pens into meetings after claims the rapper smuggled song lyrics out of jail in them.

According to local reports, Louisiana officials have banned

C-Murder's lawyer from carrying pens into meetings with his client at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center. The ban follows allegations that the US rapper smuggled out song lyrics featured on a new album in the hollowed cylinders of the pens.

The lawyer, Ron Rakosky, is back to plain old fashioned pencils.

As previously reported, C-Murder, real name Corey Miller, is currently serving a life sentence without possibility of parole, for the killing of a sixteen year old boy outside a night club in New

Orleans in 2003. In April of 2004 a state judge granted a new trial on the grounds that the prosecutors withheld key information, but that ruling was overturned in March by a state appeals court who stated that there 'was an abundance of other evidence which fully established Miller's guilt.' Another appeal follows.

In the meantime, the rapper has been busy. In February jail officials were enraged to discover that C-Murder had managed to record

27 new tracks as well as cheekily filming footage for a video without permission. And as if that's not enough, he's apparently also working on two novels, which would undoubtedly be much harder to smuggle out in a Bic.
