Calvin Harris hits back

Calvin Harris responds in a video blog to criticism of his house party scheme, offering safety tips after being called a hate figure for parents.

In a somewhat tongue-in-cheek video blog, Calvin Harris has responded to those in the media who have tagged him, as previously reported, as a "hate figure for parents".

Claiming he was "coerced" into posting a 'safety tips blog' after criticism in papers like The Times for his national synchronised house party scheme, set for 18 Aug, Harris offers advice such as "only invite your friends" and "only drink if you're over 18", continuing: "I know you're not stupid enough to invite people you don't know, ply 13 year-olds with drink and let Jane's big brother shag John's mum behind the sofa".

Harris' plot is to celebrate the release of his new single, 'Merrymaking At My Place', with house parties all over the country, with one lucky winner receiving £1500 prize money and an acoustic set by Harris at their party. Hopefully now, with Harris' educational feast, the UK can party safely.
