Celine Dion cancels Vegas shows and Billboard Music Awards appearance

Celine Dion has cancelled five Las Vegas performances and an appearance at the Billboard Music Awards after being diagnosed with mycoplasmia bronchitis and ordered to rest.

Celine Dion has been forced to cancel five performances of her show in Las Vegas, as well as an appearance at the Billboard Music Awards next week, because she's fallen victim to a respiratory infection. The singer is being treated for mycoplasmia bronchitis, a highly contagious bacterial infection, and has been ordered to rest to ensure her recovery from the illness.

Dion's show, 'A New Day', was due to take a break for the holidays, so the cancellations will mean that the singer will now not take to the stage at Caesar's Palace again until 28 Dec. Ticket holders can apply for a refund or rebook for another date.
