Clearly tiring of having to hide behind a facade of terrible ballads, film soundtracks doubled-up as terrible ballads and, well, duets of terrible ballads, Celine Dion has finally decided to come out of the closet and realise her true calling: hip-hop. Honest, there's no way we have the imagination to make this stuff up.
Dion - in what could well be remembered as a conversion as significant as Bob Dylan's move from protest folk to electric - has lined up Timbaland on production duties, with The Mirror reporting that the forthcoming album will mix RnB and hip-hop with the more traditional styles that made her famous. And with song writing credits expected to include regular hit makers like R Kelly and Ne-Yo it's possible, just possible, that Timbaland and co could make this work against all odds. However, it's also likely that it will signal the end of both her and all her collaborators' careers. Watch this space.
