Artists including Hot Chip, Jarvis Cocker and The Kooks are lined-up for a number of special events taking place in Oxfam stores next month. Staged under the Oxjam banner, tickets to the shows will be only available to winners of a competition run through the charity's website - www.Oxfam.org.uk/oxjam - or by text message - text 'Oxjam' to 87099. Philanthropist extraordinaire (and Kooks' lead singer) Luke Pritchard said: "Oxjam is all about thousands of small events adding up to something much bigger, so it's great to join in by playing a small acoustic show".
The planned Oxfam instores confirmed so far are as follows, though no word yet on which stores will host each show...
1 Oct: The Kooks and Jarvis Cocker
2 Oct: Jamelia and Killa Kela
3 Oct: Hot Chip and Bobby Friction
4 Oct: Fatboy Slim and Emmanuel Jal
