Christian guitar hero game Guitar Praise announced

Christian media firm Digital Praise has announced Guitar Praise, a Christian-friendly rival to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, due on sale in the US on 25 September for $99.95.

Rocking out is so unseemly, don't you think? God certainly wouldn't like you to do it. Or Jesus. Or any vicar you might care to mention. Why can't someone come up with a way to rock without sending us all straight to hell? Well, now they have. Christian interactive media company Digital Praise have announced a Christian-friendly competitor to 'Guitar Hero' and 'Rock Band' called 'Guitar Praise', featuring "a playlist of today's most popular Contemporary Christian rock hits".

Announcing the game, Digital Praise CEO Tom Bean said: "'Guitar Praise' can be an exciting group event. Having the lyrics onscreen reinforces the positive messages present in [the game]'s roster of songs, and allows everyone to take part in the game".

The game will go on sale in the US on 25 Sep at a price of $99.95. The latest instalment of 'Guitar Hero' is also released next month. It remains to be seen which will be the most popular.
