Club NME goes on national university tour

Club NME will tour UK universities during Freshers' fortnight, with Har Mar Superstar and DJs Queens of Noize on the decks at each date.

Club NME, which already runs weekly at Stealth in Nottingham, is to go on a national tour of universities. Har Mar Superstar and DJs Queens of Noize will be on the decks to entertain students during Freshers' fortnight.

Har Mar said: "I'm going to have a party and try to get all the kids dancing in their gymnasiums or wherever these shows are gonna be raising havoc with my friends the Queens of Noize. We're gonna start trouble everywhere!"

Of Queens of Noize he continued: "They sort of know everybody somehow, kind of in the same way I do. We met a couple of years ago the first time I went over and I think I went to their night at the Barfly. We're sort of kindred spirits, they both like to be out the front going wild and running around, so we just ended up joining forces and making parties happen all over the city. And we've remained friends since then."

The Club NME tour visits:

25 Sep: Cambridge Anglia Polytechnic University

26 Sep: Leeds Metropolitan University

27 Sep: Sheffield Foundry

28 Sep: Newcastle University

30 Sep: Hull University

2 Oct: Stoke Keele University

3 Oct: Nottingham Trent University

4 Oct: Lancaster University

5 Oct: Liverpool University, Mountford Hill

6 Oct: Bournemouth University

7 Oct: Cardiff University

Meanwhile a weekly Club NME London night at Camden Palace launches on Wednesday 22 Sep, and a monthly in Brighton launches at The Concorde on Friday 17 Sep . There's also a monthly Friday at Birmingham HQ starting soon.
