Cocaine caused Entwistle heart attack

A coroner has concluded that cocaine exacerbated John Entwistle's pre-existing heart condition at his death in Las Vegas, though the death was accidental, not an overdose.

The Who's John Entwistle had cocaine in his system at the time of his death in Las Vegas on 27 Aug. The local coroner has concluded the consumption of cocaine exacerbated a pre-existing condition known as ‘ischemic heart disease’, which restricts the flow of blood, though he stressed the death was accidental and not due to an overdose. "From a legal point of view, there isn't anything to be done because we don't have anybody else who might be responsible," he said. Neither the hotel nor the band’s management have yet commented on the report. The Who’s US tour continues this week – the band played Mansfield Massachusetts last night.
