David Gilmour to perform in cinemas

Pink Floyd's David Gilmour will perform a song via satellite to Canadian cinemas to promote his DVD of the Royal Albert Hall concert, which features guests including Bowie, Crosby and Nash.

Well, that headline is sort of true. Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has announced plans to perform a single song via satellite to cinema audiences across Canada in celebration of the release of his new DVD, 'Remember That Night - Live at the Royal Albert Hall'. The performance will be predictably followed by a showing of the DVD, which includes guests David Bowie, David Crosby and Graham Nash, amongst others. Indeed, it is these three acts that make up the probable highlight of the show, with all four legends linking-up for a cover of the Floyd classic 'Arnold Layne'.
