Diana Ross faces drink driving charges

Diana Ross was arrested for drink driving in Arizona, with breath tests showing a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, and faces court later this month.

The Christmas festivities must have gone to the heads of the collective rock ‘n’ roll community with a number of stars having run ins with the law in the last week. First and most high profile, Diana Ross was arrested for drink driving in the US last weekend. Latest reports suggest that when pulled over by Arizona police Ross denied having been drinking, but breath tests showed a blood-alcohol level of at least 0.2%, more than twice Arizona's legal limit of 0.08%. She apparently fell over and laughed when asked to stand on one leg and count to ten, and missed out letters when asked to write down the alphabet. Ross’s spokesperson refused to comment – the star is expected to be in court later this month to face the charges.
