Dido's White Flag is an apology to ex Bob Page

Dido's new single White Flag, due 1 September, apologises to Bob Page, whom she split from last April as their wedding was being arranged.

Dido's new single 'White Flag' is an apology to the man she dumped as they arranged their wedding, and is the first time the singer has spoken about her split from Bob Page. That said, it's not the first time she has written a song about him - 'Thank You' was to thank him for his support while she 'got famous'.

Dido and Bob planned to marry this year but they split last Apr, Dido blaming hectic schedule. The song goes: "I know you think that I shouldn't still love you / I'll tell you that / but if I didn't say it, well / I'd still have felt it / where's the sense in that?"

"I know I left too much mess, and destruction to come back again / and I caused nothing but trouble, I understand if you can't talk to me again / and if you live by the rules of 'It's over' / then I'm sure that that makes sense."

'White Flag' - the first single from her 'Life for Rent' LP is due on 1 Sep.
