Dis celebrates five years

Indie website Drowned In Sound marks its fifth birthday with an In The City showcase in Manchester and a website redesign launching on 14 October.

Indie website http://www.DrownedInSound.com celebrates its fifth birthday next month, and is marking the occasion with a number of party style events, the first being an all day showcase at this weekend's In The City in Manchester. That event will take place at the city's Night & Day Café and will feature sets from Komakino, Redjetson, Fear of Music, Field Music and Emmy The Great among others. Xfm's John Kennedy will host. Elsewhere in DiS fifth birthday news, the website itself will be going through a birthday revamp, with the new site launching on 14 Oct.
