Disturbed have had to cancel their European tour after singer David Draiman developed a severe inflammation of his vocal chords and was advised by a throat specialist in London to completely rest his voice. A statement from the band said: "Please note that all cancelled shows will be rescheduled and the new dates will be announced as soon as they're confirmed. Fans are asked to keep hold of their tickets as the dates are likely to be set for next March."

The cancelled gigs include one UK date, 17 Oct at Manchester Academy, and concerts in Berlin, Nuremburg, Munich, Cologne Live, Amsterdam and Hamburg. Draiman, meanwhile, has returned to Los Angeles for further specialist treatment.
