Doherty approached for reality programme

Pete Doherty has reportedly been approached by Endemol for a reality show following rock stars through drug rehabilitation, alongside Donny Tourette and Dominic Masters.

According to reports, Pete Doherty has been asked to appear in a reality show about rock stars dealing with drug addiction. The singer has been accused of yet more drug shenanigans in the UK press in the last couple of days, of course, with the news that a video has surfaced of him shooting up cocaine in Thailand over the new year period - which will surely disappoint that very kind judge at Thames Magistrates' Court who's been dealing with him lately.

Anyway, the concept of this alleged new Endemol project is simple, and not far removed from previous Endemol projects: stick some high profile junkies in a room and set a camera running. A source claims that 'Rock Stars In Rehab' may also feature Donny Tourette of Towers Of London and Dominic Masters from The Others.

The source says: "It's going to be like 'Spinal Tap' meets The Priory. The plan is to put a group of well-known faces with a very public drug problems into a rehab and just let the cameras run."

I'm sick of reality shows. Can't we get back to some high quality drama? Oh, you know, though, I've just remembered the new series of 'Life On Mars' starts soon, and that really is high quality. Hurrah.
