Doherty gets caution over photographer fracas

Pete Doherty has received a caution for criminal damage to a photographer's camera after an August incident in Somerset, with no further action to be taken.

To the pop police station, and Pete Doherty has received a caution for criminal damage in relation to that previously reported incident in Somerset last August when the Babyshambler allegedly chased photographer Cath Mead into a shop and assaulted her camera after she had taken photos of him and his then girlfriend Irina Lazareanu. Mead was not seriously injured from the tussle, but her camera was a bit worse for wear. Having been given the caution no further action will now be taken in relation to the incident. A spokesman for Avon And Somerset Police told reporters: "He did report to Yeovil police station. A decision was taken that no further action would be taken after the assault. He was given a caution for the criminal damage to the camera".
