Doherty is manic depressive, shocker

According to The Sun, Pete Doherty has been diagnosed as manic depressive and is attending Homerton Hospital as an outpatient, receiving counselling and anti-depressants.

And in no-brainer news, according to The Sun, Pete Doherty has been diagnosed as a manic depressive. The singer, who was of course arrested on Monday on suspicion of car theft and - yep, you got it - possession of Class A drugs, has allegedly been attending Homerton Hospital in East London as an outpatient. A source told the tabloid "he is being given counselling and anti-depressants. He believes this is the way forward."

The paper adds that Doherty believes his troubles are a direct consequence of his estrangement from his father, a major in the British Army.
