Doherty, out of jail, for now

Pete Doherty has been bailed after his arrest on drugs charges and is reportedly considering a gig at Pentonville Prison, echoing Johnny Cash's Folsom show.

And talking of Doherty, I believe when we pressed send on Friday's Daily he was still banged up in an East London police station having been arrested on drugs charges just hours after a judge at the Thames Magistrates Court commended him for his attempts to kick his druggy ways. Well, he was released on bail later that day, ordered to return to the police station in June when charges may or may not be made.

He may return to jail before then however, because Doherty is reportedly talking about playing a gig at London's Pentonville Prison in a bid to ape Johnny Cash's legendary performance at Folsom Prison.
