Doherty to release solo album

Pete Doherty tells NME he will release a solo acoustic album this year, which will differ from Babyshambles because it will just be him.

Pete Doherty has told NME that he is planning to release a solo album shortly. The singer told the publication, while stating the obvious a little: "There'll be a solo acoustic album released this year. It differs from Babyshambles because it will just be me."

Asked if he'd ever considered leaving London to get away from his lifestyle problems (can't believe I just wrote that) he said: "That's so strange you say that, I've just been talking about getting a cottage ... a little pond and my guitar."
