There's a door for sale on eBay; it was once part of a house in Florida where The Doors' Jim Morrison once lived. It's been painted with a 'Love Her Madly' theme, in reference to the band's 1971 track of that name. It's all part of a charity drive called The Jim Morrison Home Legacy Series which gets artists to use as canvases doors from the now demolished Clearwater property that belonged to Morrison's grandparents, and where the Doors frontman lived from 1944 - 1947, and then again during the early 1960s whilst attending college.
Proceeds from the latest door, painted by Doug Wright and featuring a doorbell which plays clips of the song in question will benefit the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and an anti-gang initiative.
