Doors drummer sues band mates

Doors drummer John Densmore has taken legal action against Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger, claiming the reunion tour was not cleared by himself or Morrison's widow.

Original Doors drummer John Densmore has filed legal action against fellow members Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger claiming their current Doors reunion wasn’t cleared by himself or the Morrison estate, and as such is misleading fans. When it was first announced that The Doors would reform with The Cult’s Ian Astbury in place of Morrison it was originally reported Densmore was part of the reunion. Later it was claimed Densmore had to drop out because of health problems – he was replaced by Stewart Copeland, formerly drummer with The Police. But now Densmore claims he, and Morrison’s widow Pam Courson, never cleared the reunion tour. "It’s misleading to the fans," he told reporters. "I’m forced to speak out now and to take action in order to protect the integrity of the great work all four of us created together."
