Drowning Pool hope to find new frontman

Drowning Pool plan to audition new lead singers following Dave Williams's death last August, with bassist Stevie Bento citing AC/DC as an inspiration.

Drowning Pool are about to begin the search for a new lead singer following the death of Dave Williams last August. Talking to Aussie website Undercover bass player Stevie Bento confirmed the band wanted to stay together: “We are going to audition some people. If we find somebody then great, if we don't, well, we've all had offers to go and play with other bands. But the three would really like to stick together if we can. We have been doing this together for a long time. We lost one of our closest friends. I'd hate to lose the other two. We are going to try and stick together"

He says the band have been getting some motivation to continue by looking at the career of ACDC – after the death of Bon Scott, AC/DC brought in Brian Johnson and went on to become even bigger than before. "It is a great example. They overcame it and went and made a great record. You can't deny how great ‘Back In Black’ was. Even today it sells 5,000 copies a week. It is a great record".
