Drug charges against Snow Patrol's Tom Simpson dropped

Drug charges against Snow Patrol keyboardist Tom Simpson have been dropped, following further information from Strathclyde Police, the Crown Office has said.

More pop legalities, and those previously reported drug charges against Snow Patrol's Tom Simpson have been dropped. The charges hit the pop headlines, of course, when the keyboardist was arrested after playing the Live Earth concert in July because he had missed an earlier court date relating to drug possession charges. He was due to go back to court this week, but a spokesman for the Crown Office said: "Following further information received from Strathclyde Police, the procurator fiscal has taken the decision that no further proceedings are appropriate".
