Elton John sues business manager

Elton John has reportedly begun legal proceedings against his long-time business partner Bob Halley, though the specifics of the claim are not known.

Into the pop courts, and word has it Elton John has begun legal proceedings against his long time business partner Bob Halley. Specifics of the lawsuit against Halley, who has worked with John for three decades, initially as a chauffeur and PA, later as a director of operations and business manager for John's business empire, are not known. Halley has been long seen as a close ally of Elton, and has often been called the singer songwriter's 'right hand man'. It's not the first time John has taken a business associate to court - in 2000 he successfully sued his former manager John Reid over allegations the manager had mishandled his affairs. A £2.5 million settlement was reached in that case.
