EMI Records yesterday announced the appointment of James Hopkins to the role of Senior Press Officer. James, who has worked for 9PR for some nine years, will join the major at the start of May.
Confirming the appointment, EMI Records Media Director Rebecca Coates said the following words: “EMI Records has had an incredible month with No 1 albums from Corinne Bailey Rae and David Gilmour and I'm thrilled that we've managed to tempt James to join the EMI Records press team where he'll be working on other developing acts such as Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, DFA Records, Radio 4 and Radar."
