Emma B extends Heart contract

Emma B has renewed her contract with Global Radio's Heart 106.2 and will also host a new Sunday afternoon show, while job cuts loom at The Arrow.

Emma B has renewed her contract with Global Radio's Heart 106.2 which will see the presenter continue to host the station's drive time show for the foreseeable future. She will also front a new Sunday afternoon show which will replace the axed A List chart show. Heart PD Mark Browning said: "At a time when quality personalities on the radio are hard to find, Emma shines out as one of the stars. Emma's a fantastic ambassador for Heart and the wider commercial radio industry. She's genuine, relatable and has quickly won over London's listeners with her own brand of wit, warmth and her down-to-earth personality".

Elsewhere in Global Radio news, Radio Today reports that job cuts can be expected at their classic rock digital station The Arrow. Reports suggest the station will have less live shows, reducing the number of presenters working on the station.
