German digital distributor Zebralution has announced a rejig at the top, with co-founder Kurt Thielen stepping down as CEO at the end of the year, to be replaced by Tina Jürgens and Konrad Von Löhneysen as co-CEOs.
Jürgens is currently COO of the distribution firm, while Von Löhneysen is founder and MD of independent label and Zebralution client Embassy Of Music. Von Löhneysen is also a shareholder in the distribution company, which is majority-owned by German collecting society GEMA.
Confirming his departure and the new appointments, Thielen says: "I am immensely proud of what we have achieved with Zebralution as pioneers in the industry. I can’t think of a more opportune moment for this change in responsibility".
"I would like to thank the fantastic Zebralution team, my fellow shareholders and especially Tina and Konrad", he adds. "With these two, I know the company is in the best hands. I am sure they will lead Zebralution with as much passion as I did".
