Despite rumours the BBC has gone off reality TV 'Fame Academy' has been officially recommissioned and auditions will begin this month to find another set of 'students'. Despite its initial poor ratings and a critical panning word is the BBC have been heartened by the success of Fame Academy winner David Sneddon and the popularity of the Comic Relief celeb version of the show, and while they shun reality TV in the build up to their charter renewal Corporation bigwigs are obviously convinced by the educational merits of the programme. Expect lots of promotion for the auditions process across the BBC over the next few weeks - though we're told full information is available on the OneMusic section of the Radio 1 website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1
