Farrell loses Dylan role

Colin Farrell has reportedly been dropped from the Bob Dylan film I'm Not There, replaced by Heath Ledger, according to The Mirror, with the reason unknown.

Actor and hell-raiser Colin Farrell has apparently been dropped from his role in that upcoming film about Bob Dylan, according to a report in The Mirror, and has been replaced by star of 'Brokeback Mountain' (and, let us not forget, 'Ten Things I Hate About You') Heath Ledger. Director Todd Haynes apparently made the change although the reason for the Irish star's departure is unknown.

The film, entitled 'I'm Not There', will feature six different actors, including Christian Bale and Richard Gere, all portraying the legendary singer. Dylan is reported to have waived his publishing rights to help minimise the budget for the project, which begins shooting this summer.
