Feeder's Nicholas on his anger at bandmate's suicide

Feeder's Grant Nicholas has spoken to Undercover about his anger at drummer Jon Lee's suicide and why the band chose to carry on.

Feeder’s Grant Nicholas has been speaking to Aussie music website Undercover about the suicide of drummer Jon Lee. "I'm angry at him a bit. I just think it was a waste of a great life. He was a great person and there is always another way out other than taking your own life. If he had a terminal illness or something I could kind of understand it a bit more but he just had a lot to live for".

Talking about life in the band after Lee’s death he continued: "At the end of the day I am a songwriter so Feeder was going to carry on in some shape or form. I didn't know if I wanted to do it without Jon. I did think it might not be right to carry on and we should leave it as it was. But I felt we hadn't reached where we had always dreamed of reaching and it felt we were so near to getting there. I knew he really believed in the band. He had no problems with the band. There were no internal problems with us and it just seemed a real shame to lose him and lose the band".
