Former Blink 182 bassist Mark Hoppus sues Missicom over investment

Former Blink 182 bassist Mark Hoppus is suing San Diego firm Missicom, claiming his $600,000 investment in McDonald's checkout machines was misappropriated.

Former Blink 182 bassist Mark Hoppus has launched a lawsuit against San Diego technology company Missicom. Hoppus apparently invested $600,000 in a venture to install automated checkout machines in McDonald's restaurants, but claims that contracts to do so were never in place and that the company's owners, father and son Ed and Jeff Mitchell, instead kept his money for themselves, along with several million dollars from other investors, who included fellow Blink 182 members Tom Delonge and Travis Barker, and golfer Paul Mickelson. The case is scheduled for trial on 8 Sep.
