Former Chrysalis boss joins net radio maker

Phil Riley, former CEO of Chrysalis Radio, has become chairman of Cambridge-based internet radio technology firm Reciva.

Phil Riley, the former CEO of Chrysalis Radio, which was - of course, sold by the Chrysalis Group to Global Radio - has returned to the radio industry by taking the chairman role at Reciva, a Cambridge based company that manufactures internet radio technology, and which has become something of a market leader in what is seen by many as a huge growth area in broadcasting.

Confirming his new role, Riley told reporters: "I'm thrilled to be with Reciva, which has positioned itself as the leading technology provider in the rapidly expanding internet radio market. 'Connected' radios will define the future of audio broadcasting, so it's great to be working with the market leader at such an early stage".

Reciva CEO Ben Terrell added: "Phil is an acknowledged leader in the UK radio industry. His business and broadcasting skills will ensure Reciva maximises its market leading position as the Internet radio industry develops".
