According to yesterday's News Of The World, ex-Atomic-Kitten-star-come-TV-presenter Kerry Katona is suffering from "a terrifying secret cocaine addiction" which is "blasting" her life apart. According to the tabloid the former pop star is prone to week long drug binges from which it takes her days to recover. The drug taking reportedly began when she slid into depression after her divorce from former Westlife boy Brian McFadden and a subsequent break-up with childhood sweetheart Dave Cunningham.
Joanne Goodier, apparently Katona's best friend of ten years, is increasingly concerned about Katona's drug taking, so much so she has turned to, erm, the News Of The World for help. She told the paper: "She binges on cocaine for days on end without sleep...It's almost as if she wants to self-destruct. One night I found her in such a state she was screaming about the curtain talking to her. She needs help."
