According to the New York Post, Andy Schuon, a former boss at MTV and the International Music Feed, is favourite to take the top job at MySpace Music, the social networking firm's JV with the major record companies which plans to launch a fully integrated networking, music preview and recommend and download platform. Schuon is currently co-head at C Student Entertainment, a youth focused radio and mobile content provider in the US.
Schuon isn't the first exec linked to the still empty top job at MySpace's music division, with former Yahoo! Music boss Ian Rogers and former AOL man Jim Bankoff both previously rumoured to be under consideration.
Elsewhere in MySpace Music rumours, it's thought Amazon may provide the download store element, while MySpace's sister company Jamba is expected to offer mobile services.
