Foxy Brown rejects plea deal

Foxy Brown has rejected a plea deal in her case over attacking two nail salon workers, seeking to reduce the charge to disorderly conduct.

More pop court news now, and rapper foxy Brown has rejected a plea deal keeping her out of jail over that attacking-salon-workers incident; instead she's trying to get the charges against her dropped to disorderly conduct. The plea deal would have seen Ms Brown, real name Inga Marchand, performing ten days community service, but if she is convicted of the more serious charge, she could face a year in prison. Her lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, explained that his client did not wish to have any misdemeanours on her record, saying "Disorderly conduct is a different ball of wax. That's a violation and she would not have a record."

As previously reported, Brown is accused of attacking two nail salon workers, Myoung Yi and Sun Ji Song, leaving the latter with bruising and swelling to the face, over a dispute about a payment for a manicure she said she never received. The rapper claims that the pair were trying to take advantage of her celebrity status to extract money from her.
