The judge considering Foxy Brown's request for an early prison release has asked for more details about the rapper's hearing impairment. As previously reported, Brown, real name Inga Marchand, has asked to be let out of jail early on various grounds, but mainly on the grounds she needs treatment for her hearing condition and that the best treatment available is in LA, ie on the other side of the country from where she is currently incarcerated.
Acting Supreme Court Justice Melissa Jackson has asked for more information about Marchand's condition and treatment options after Assistant District Attorney Cindy Chung objected to the hip hopper's request for early release. Chung argued that Marchand had not convincingly proven that the treatment could not be carried out in New York, while adding that it is not standard practice to allow prisoners to choose their doctors. Marchand's lawyers have been told that they must hand over their client's medical records to the District Attorney's office before any further consideration will be given to the release request.
