Franz Ferdinand have announced that they'll release the first single from their upcoming new album in the new year. 'Ulysses' will be out on 19 Jan, a week ahead of the release of the aforementioned new LP, 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand'.
The band have also announced that they're holding a competition to remix the track, in conjunction with www.beatport.com. Relevant bits of 'Ulysses' will be available to buy from 4 Nov for interested parties to remix, and their efforts will be judged by Beatport and the Beatport community, with a final winner being selected by the band themselves for digital release in January, to coincide with the release of the original single.
