Despite her chart successes (more on which in a minute) last week was not a good week for former X-Factor winner Leona Lewis after she was reportedly left "devastated" by the news a childhood friend had been shot dead by a gang in London.
Seventeen year old Etem Celebi was murdered close to his Stoke Newington home on Thursday, seemingly shot by members of the 'Stamford Hill' gang in retaliation for a stabbing of one of their members by a rival gang, based on the same housing estate as Celebi.
The victim had been a life long friend of both Lewis and her boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa. A friend of the couple told reporters: "We have all known him most of our lives".
