Gainsbourg under the knife

Charlotte Gainsbourg has had an operation to repair a small brain haemorrhage linked to a water-skiing fall, and is expected to leave hospital the following day.

Singer and actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, daughter of Serge, has had an operation relating to a small brain haemorrhage. Medical staff explained that the 'Science Of Sleep' star had been suffering from headaches ever since a water-skiing accident several months ago. A spokesperson explained: "Following a fall during water-skiing several months ago, Charlotte Gainsbourg had a small operation today to repair a haemorrhage. The operation went very well. She is coming out of hospital tomorrow". Gainsbourg, of course, made her first foray into the world of music with the renown debut, '5.15', which included collaborations with both Jarvis Cocker and the Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon.
