Game et al face lawsuit

Radio DJ Kwasi Zxulu Jones is suing The Game, G-Unit, Aftermath and Shady Records for $280 million over an alleged assault, after lyrics referencing the incident appeared on a remix.

Sticking with the theme of rappers and punch-ups, news that

50 Cent's mate The Game is facing assault charges and a $280 million lawsuit after he allegedly attacked a radio presenter in Maryland. The DJ, Kwasi "Zxulu" Jones, says that he was attacked by a The Game's twenty man strong posse after making a casual remark about a the mobile telephone earpiece worn by the rapper's manager, Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond.

The incident is alleged to have taken place in Jan, but since then a remix of 50 Cent's 'Hate It Or Love It' has been released on which The Game, real name Jaceyon Taylor, refers to the incident with the words "I'm rap's MVP/Don't make me remind y'all what happened in D.C." and because of that release the lawsuit has named G-Unit, Aftermath Entertainment and **Shady

Records**, claiming that all three were complicit in an act of negligence.

The

DJ's Lawyer Stephanie Moran said: "As our lawsuit points out, it's based on the fact that a lot of these record labels and rappers pride themselves on careers based on street credibility.

Their records sell more when they do something in the public eye that gives street credibility to their image. Clearly, putting lyrics in the song regarding this incident helped sell records.

Artists should not be able to profit from alleged incidents where people are physically harmed."
