Bizarre story of the day - there’s a rumour doing the rounds that Gareth Gates might be joining Boyzone. According to the
Daily Star the Irish boy band are planning a comeback tour after
Keith Duffy leaves Coronation Street, but, as previously reported,
Ronan Keating doesn’t want to take part. With that in mind, rumour has it the band are sounding out Gareth about joining the group. Gates’ pop career, of course, has gone quiet since the disappointing performance of his second album. A source tells the Star: "There's always been one major sticking point in getting the lads back together and that was Ronan.
He refused point blank to join the band again. But Gareth has the right look and voice and the boys really rate him."
