Girls move up in Christmas number one race

Bookmakers have shortened the odds on Girls Aloud for the Christmas number one, now just behind One True Voice after a mixed response to the boy band's single.

Things are a-changing in the stakes for Christmas number one as the pre-Christmas release date approaches. Bookmakers have slashed the odds on the Popstars girl band Girls Aloud being the Christmas number one after a mixed response to favourite, the Popstars boy band ‘One True Voice’. Odds on the girls being number one have gone down from 13/2 to 9/4, although One True Voice are still just ahead at 4/6.

Ever optimistic (deluded?) we’re still hoping luck will fall on the side of third favourites Death in Vegas.
