Glastonbury tickets sell fast

About 35,000 of the 150,000 Glastonbury tickets had sold by Monday lunchtime, with Michael Eavis saying sales are faster than last year.

According to some reports 35,000 of the 150,000 tickets for this year's Glastonbury Festival had been sold by 1pm yesterday, just hours after tickets went on sale. Talking to the BBC Michael Eavis confirmed sales were going faster than last year: "We were sold out by the end of May last year, but this year is selling quicker. I don't think people are travelling abroad as much as they were and they are happier to stay in the UK."
