After the phenomenal success of Jamie Theakston's new breakfast show (250,000 listeners down and counting), Chrysalis' Heart 106.2 has snapped up another Radio 1 alumni, though this time it's the lovely Emma B, so this one might just work out. Emma will fill in for Theakston's co-presenter Harriet Scott when she is on holiday, as well as hosting "a variety of weekend shows".
Confirming the signing, Heart programming boss Mark Browning told reporters that Emma B was "one of the UK's most credible radio presenters", adding that "her upbeat and an engaging style further strengthen Heart's 30-something on-air team".
