Good news for any CMU Daily readers heading to the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas tonight. Following the news last week that Britney Spears had dropped out as a presenter of the evening, now her co-host for the night, new best buddy Paris Hilton, has pulled out too, seemingly because she wasn't willing to deliver a script which included a number of gags at the expense of other celebs. With Spears and Hilton off the bill, frankly the whole night sounds much more palatable.
Confirming her client had pulled out of the awards event, Hilton's spokesman Elliot Mintz told reporters: "It is my understanding that some satirical references ridiculed some of her peers. Paris did not want to say anything that could appear hurtful or embarrassing about people she knows".
