I Was A Cub Scout invite fans to cover 'Pink Squares' for single b-side

Synthpop duo I Was A Cub Scout are inviting fans to submit their own recordings of 'Pink Squares' for consideration as the b-side to their forthcoming single.

Synthpoppers I Was A Cub Scout are inviting their fans to re-record a version of one of their songs which will appear as the b-side on their forthcoming double a-side single (not that a double a-side can have a b-side, technically speaking, unless it's a three sided record). The duo will release 'Pink Squares' and 'Echoes' on 28 Jan and are inviting fans to record their own version of 'Pink Squares', and to submit it for consideration as the actual b-side. Former Cub Scout William Bowerman explains: "We heard a bunch of interesting cover versions of 'Pink Squares' on the internet, kids with acoustic guitars or kids remixing the song, so we thought it'd be ace to offer them the chance to be on our single". You can hear the proper single at http://www.myspace.com/iwasacubscout - covers should be sent to [email protected].
