Here's a date for your diaries, and it's not just cos it's at one of my favourite venues. There's a Brazilian themed Glenfiddich Independent Mix at Cargo later this month, hosted, of course, by the massive Gilles Peterson, featuring live performances from Airto Moreira ('the Godfather of Brazilian percussion') and musician/producer Mark De Clive-Lowe, with DJ sets from Karen P and Chris Wheeler. Why would you want to miss this? Mmmm. Brazil. All takes place on 16 Mar from 7pm until 1, at Cargo, Rivington Street, £6 adv/before 9pm, £8 after. See http://www.cargo-london.com for info/tickets.
