Isley Brother Ronald's appeal against jail term rejected

A US court has rejected Ronald Isley's appeal against a three-year jail term for tax fraud, ruling he must serve his sentence in full.

Isley Brother Ronald's attempt to appeal against a three year jail term for tax fraud has been rejected by a US court.

As previously reported, 65 year old Isley was convicted of tax evasion in 2005, among the charges against him being that he cashed royalty cheques belonging to his dead brother.

He appealed against his ongoing jail sentence on the grounds of age and poor health - he had a stroke last year and has suffered from kidney cancer. But judges ruled that he must see his sentence through to completion.
