Ja Rule kills himself off, sort of

Ja Rule has told Radio 1 his new screenplay sees his Ja Rule alter-ego killed off, and has responded to 50 Cent's track Wanksta.

Ja Rule has told Radio 1 he is planning to kill off his alter-ego in a forthcoming movie. Ja Rule – who appeared in the films 'Half Past Dead' and 'The Fast And The Furious' – has written a screenplay. His description of the project is a tad confusing - "the movie, it's not really about myself but it is about myself. I wrote the script for the screenplay for this - it's kind of like 'Fight Club', it deals with alter-egos” - but the general gist is that his Ja Rule alter-ego will be killed off: "in the movie, Ja Rule dies, for my new alter ego, the Black Dove."

He also spoke about the 50 Cents album track 'Wanksta' which talks about how much the Eminem protege hates Ja Rule. "People use the biggest artists out there to try and catapult their careers. It's an old trick! But it works sometimes, unfortunately. But it's not about tricks in this game, it's about making good music and hit records. Let's see if he can keep making good music and hit records, because that's what the game is all about. It's not about gimmicks and tricks."
