SB3 Artist Management is an independent artist management company based in Brighton, and owned by Sumit Bothra. This is an opportunity for a highly organised and entrepreneurial management assistant/day-to-day to work with a client-list of globally successful recording artists in a fast-paced, nimble, and team-oriented environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working within an artist management team, a record label, or a marketing company. It is important that you are a clear and articulate communicator; possess a high degree of grammatical and numerical literacy; be highly organised with strong time-management skills; and possess a calm, kind, and solutions-oriented personality. It is preferable that the candidate is not already managing or assisting others. An understanding of the electronic music space is helpful.
Primary tasks and Responsibilities
- Schedule writing and recording sessions
- Work with Artists and our labels, distributors, and merchandise providers to assist with manufacturing, inventory management, D2C and merchandise strategy
- Work with publishers, labels and neighbouring rights agencies to ensure the accuracy of metadata across PROs and DSPs
- Manage calendars, travel, visas, guestlists, and itineraries where required
- Assist with Company and Artist social media accounts where necessary
- Assist with grant applications, company travel, company schedule
- Utilise design and video-editing software such as Canva and CapCut to create digital content at short notice
- Review songwriter agreements and ensure information is filed accurately
- Work with promoters and live agents to promote shows during touring periods
- Manage artist catalogues, audio and video master deliveries to distributors

Sumit Bothra has worked in the music industry for over 25 years. While studying finance and engineering at The University of Pennsylvania he began his career promoting artists for Virgin Records of America before moving to London to work for Sony Music as a label-manager and promotions executive. He became a successful independent artist manager at 24 which led him to ATC Management (with offices in London, New York, and LA), for whom he served as Managing Director.
His work on behalf of his clients has been featured in leading trade publications including Music Week, Billboard, and Music Business Worldwide. Sumit currently sits on the board of the UK’s Music Managers Forum and the European Music Managers Alliance, and is a regular guest on industry and educational panels.
