Gondwana Records // Part Time Social Media, Online Marketing & Digital Content Manager (Manchester Hybrid)

Gondwana Records is looking for a Social Media, Online Marketing and Digital Content Manager to join us, promoting our roster of artists and helping to maintain and develop our online presence.

 You should be an all-rounder with great copywriting skills, have an eye for detail and skills to create and commission engaging content for social media channels, mailing lists and websites.

 The successful candidate will be adept in all social media channels as well as relatable websites and outlets.

 They will be passionate about music, writing and culture and have a keen interest and knowledge of the Gondwana Records catalogue and its artists.

 They will be self-motivated and able to work from our Manchester office.

Job Requirements

Social media:

  • Maintaining and managing label social media and other online channels
  • Work collaboratively with the Label Manager planning posts, writing copy, scheduling posts, creating assets and content
  • Commissioning in-house and external designers to create engaging content 
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the Gondwana Records voice and branding
  • Maintain a social media calendar and look ahead to plan content for key announcements, events and other non-label activity
  • Creating and updating artists’ social media plans
  • Liaising with artists on posts, copy, content and marketing ideas
  • Evaluate and report on social media strategy, share findings and identify growth opportunities

Marketing:

  • Creating and monitoring paid advertising on Meta Ads and Google Ads
  • Developing ads strategy for different campaigns and objectives
  • Researching new strategies and opportunities
  • Developing and executing wider marketing initiatives
  • Liaise with external partners on the online marketing of events
  • Newsletter creation for announcement dates
  • Monitoring newsletter performance

Desired skills and experience 

  • Copywriting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • An ability to multitask and prioritise
  • A passion for music and design 
  • Knowledge of music retail trends is an advantage 

Systems 

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) 
  • Google Docs 
  • Social Media Management Tools 
  • Meta Ads and Google Ads
  • Adobe Suite / Photoshop (preferred but not essential) 
  • DaVinci Resolve / Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred but not essential) 

Salary dependent on experience.
